Achromatic Lens

Achromatic lenses are compound lens which reduce not only chromatic aberration but also spherical aberration and coma aberration. Frequently, a diffraction-limited spot may be achieved when using a monochromatic source such as laser. These doublets are computer optimized to provide excellent performance in the design region. Both cemented and air spaced achromatic lenses are available from Optocity.
