Aspherical Lens

Aspheric lens or asphere has one or both surfaces' shape that is neither spherical nor cylindrical. Aspheric lens can form images with less aberration than standard simple lenses. A single aspheric lens can often replace a much more complex multi-lens system. The resulting device is smaller and lighter, and sometimes cheaper than the multi-lens design.
