Cube Beamsplitter

OptoCity offer dielectric coated beamsplitter cube. These Cube Beamsplitter are cemented two right angle prisms, with beamsplitting coating on the internal hypotenuse surface and all other four surfaces AR coated. By using a cube rather than a coated plate, the displacement of the beam transmitted through the cube is virtually eliminated.

Unlike metalic coating (Inconel), this cube beamsplitter has minimal absorption and it is very reliable. The T/R ratio is partially polarization dependent. One can use this property to vary T/R ratio by rotating the input light polarization direction.

For simple, the input light can be aligned as pure s-polarization or p-polarization. Also a Quartz plate can be cemented to the surfaces if other polarization is desired. Dielectric coated beamsplitter cubes are more and more used in modern optical sysmtems.

For other polarization sensitive situation, we offer polarization independent non-polarizing beamspliter cube, polarizing beamsplitter cube.
