 OptoCity provide custom design Achromatic Waveplate as well as our four standard wavelength ranges: 450-680nm, 700-1000nm, 950-1300, 1200-1650. Specifications: 
 Achromatic Circular Polarizer (Tri-Wave Broadband Quarter Waveplate) This type of Achromatic Waveplate is constructed of Quartz and MgF2. This Achromatic Waveplate provides the retardation for producing quarter wave phase difference at three wavelengths, 406 nm, 660nm and 790nm, in a single plate. These three wavelengths are commonly used as light sources in the optical reading/writing head, which is suitable for applications in CDP, DVDP, Blue-ray DVD OPU, CD-ROM. Polymer Apochromatic Waveplates Polymer Apochromatic Waveplates extend the wavelength range of quarter-wave and half-wave waveplates through the use of single layer polymer laminated with one glass windows substrate or between two optically flat glass windows. Polymer Apochromatic Waveplates offer wider acceptance angles, wider bandwidths and Much Competitive Price than conventional crystal waveplates. Fresnel Rhomb Achromatic Retarders Fresnel rhombs work on the principal of total internal reflection (TIR). The rhombs are a parallelepiped shape where the beam is designed to enter one of the faces and reflect off of two side surfaces prior to exiting the rhomb. Each reflection contributes a phase shift equal to 1/8 wave retardance, therefore the output is phase shifted by a total 1/4 wave retardance. Unlike quartz waveplates, Fresnel rhombs are inherently less sensitive to wavelength (i.e. achromatic) since the phase shift is a function of the glass index which varies only slightly over the design wavelength range. The retardation varies less than +/-2% over a range from 600nm to 1550nm Each Fresnel rhomb is designed for a 1/4 wave retardance. The 1/2 wave rhombs use two 1/4 rhombs cemented together. We can also manufacture UV rhombs as well as air-spaced rhombs for high power applications. |
